Your stories of having premature babies
Premature birth is a common and serious health problem that affects families up and down the UK. Over the past year, families have been kind enough to share their stories with us to help raise awareness of premature birth.

Little Lanna Ruth Keeble was born on 8th March 1999, at 26 weeks and 6 days. She weighed less than 2 lbs. jon and I had just got married and at our wedding reception, I started to bleed heavily. I was kept in hospital, as I had placenta abrupta, for 3 weeks whilst medical staff tried to delay labour. But Lana couldn`t wait any longer and as surgeons prepared for a cesarian she arrived in her amniotic sac, moments after I had passed a large bollus of blood, which weighed more than she. Lana was resuscitated and whisked away to special care, where she stayed for more than 9 weeks. She was so beautiful with her elegant fingers and serene button nose. We were so proud to bring her home finally, me, Jon and Sam, her elder brother, who was just 16 months old. We had happy, precious days together. Lana had the loveliest heart warming smile (I know it wasn`t wind). Sadly on the 24th June 1999, Lana passed away.
we think of our precious little Lana every day. We talk about her all the time too. she now has three younger brothers, Finn, Joseph and ethan, as well as Sam her eldest brother. I have heard the older ones tell their friends about their little sister, who is now an angel.
Thank you for standing up for tiny lives. Little Lana`s life was tiny, but with your help, this could change.
