Your stories of having premature babies
Premature birth is a common and serious health problem that affects families up and down the UK. Over the past year, families have been kind enough to share their stories with us to help raise awareness of premature birth.

Hi our names are Steve and Katie and this is the story of us and our boys, Conor and Harvey
It all started on the 19th of april when i started to bleed 25 weeks into my twin pregnancy, I was rushed into Guildford hospital where i was kept in for 2 days.
My doctor there decided that i would be better cared for in London so i was sent to St Mary's in Paddington on Friday 21st of april at 5pm.
I arrived in St Mary's around 7pm within half an hour of arriving i started to bleed again but this time there was no stopping it i needed an emergency caesarian my twins were going to be born.
My twin boys were born at 11.27pm and 11.29pm that evening 1st twin Conor weighed in at 2lbs and the 2nd twin Harvey weighed in at 2lbs 1oz,
The days ahead were the hardest thing that me and my husband have ever had to do in our lives watching the boys go through the medical procedures one ventilated and one on Cpap, Harvey was the sickness of the two getting infection after infection thinking he was going to die then he'd surprised us all his fight for life it was amazing.
Before we new it had been 10 weeks had passed and we were being told that they had a place in Portsmouth Hospital which was alot closer to home.
After arriving at portsmouth Three weeks later we were taking to Boys home on oxygen but they were home the feeling was great we were at last a family.
Here we are now 8 months down the long road Conor is off his oxygen My little Harvey Still struggling on oxygen but will soon be catching his brother up,
Our lives are still full of Medications, Hospitals, Doctors but our lives could not be any happier than they are right now because our angels fill our hearts with joy everyday.
Even though they are here with us now i would never like to experience anything like this again, so this is why people need to know about stories like ours so that the research can be done to prevent things like this happening to others.
Yours Steve & Katie Kingshott
And of Course Conor & Harvey
